Oppenheimer's book SUCKS! Don't buy it!

RE: "Seinfeld: The Making of an American Icon" by Jerry Oppenheimer

My god does this man hate Jerry Seinfeld. When I read a biography of a famous person, I certainly expect to be shown stuff that is beyond the media mirage. Their foibles, their screw-ups, their unsavory personality traits, etc. I want a well-rounded bio, showing the person's downs as well as their ups.

But my god, Oppenheimer writes like a columnist for The Globe. He includes the most asinine crap in this bio, stuff that really has little bearing on who Jerry is. And he clearly does not like Jerry at all.

Let me summarize this book for you. According to Oppenheimer:

Jerry Seinfeld's dad was a shyster jerk. Their parents have no taste and did not belong in the neighborhood they moved into. As a child, Jerry was a skinny little loser. Jerry is a closet homosexual who will not admit that he's into black men. Jerry is a neurotic Scientologist. The only reason why Jerry is successful is because he is persistent. [The show "Seinfeld" got only 1 chapter in the book of 41 chapters!] Jerry is an ungrateful, snobby rich guy. Jerry's wife Jessica is a gold-digging bitch from hell.

Again, it's not that I don't believe that there are things about Jerry that he would rather keep from the public. But this guy's tone was just way out there in tabloid land.

I'm so sorry I bought this book, therefore helping to provide income to this crude man. Please DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK. If you are a hard core fan that simply *must* read it I will mail it to you. We can all pass it around and not send one more penny to this jerk.

I read Jerry Seinfeld's book Sein Language, and I felt it pretty much covered him. I mean, I don't recall that there was anything left out.

How else could someone sell a book about Seinfeld unless it was negative at this point.

That episode with Sally (?) is a riot, and Oppenheimer is evidently a bumbling unfunny idiot with an annoying voice, who can only try and succeed through persistent assassination of such a fluffy lovable character like Seinfeld.

I think Jerry should write an unofficial biography of oppenheimer, but that would give the rat more credit than he deserves.

Perhaps the fans (us?) should try and write a collaborative 'Jerry Seinfeld Reality Tour' book, and give the proceeds to a Charity of Jerrys choosing.

In fact, why the hell don't we go down to pendant publishing and see if we can score a deal! =)
