Whether it's 114 or 1140, your memory for details is astounding. Did you guys all play musical instruments as children? :) I just heard some study showed that people who did this, have much better memories than those who did not. I, on the other hand, have been playing mucical instruments all my life and have next to no memory. So much for scientific studies.

What I'm passably good at is identifying quotes or situations with episodes names if I can associate (in my mind) the different subplots in that particular episode.. E.g: The ep. with Kramer and his girlfriend with the jimmy legs (remember) I see Kramer alone in his bed while Morty exercises on his door at 4.30 in the morning. I then try to remember which ep. that Morty is in N. York and eliminate episodes from there. You're probably all snoring with this reply by now so I'm off to bed ( i get up in four hours)

Well then. Here's another case study. I generally rely on rote memorization, especially concerning details from the older episodes. I mean, if you've seen an episode 10-15 times, and know it well enough to recite the lines as the actors speak them, then it's not that difficult to recall specifics. By now, I can recite Jerry's address and phone number as easily as I can say my own.

Also, I utilize what I call "external storage".  The answers to about
90% of the questions asked in this newsgroup can be found on the Web, if
only the asker took the time to research.  Between the FAQ and several
other select Web sites, nearly all questions can be covered.  Combine
this with my complete set of videotaped episodes, and even the stuff I
don't recall is only a few VCR button clicks away.  It all depends on
how motivated I am by a question, and how likely someone else is to
answer it before I can.  I will often go out of my way to answer a
question from a ng contributor, as opposed to someone who only shows up
here for a quick answer.
