• Why wouldn't Poppie's daughter eat the pie at Monk's?

was poppie's daughter the same actress that played the nazi who was a big fan of obrien? if it was the same actress was she playing the same character? you wouldn't think jerry would date a nazi.

Yes, it was! And I didn't even notice it until I happened to glance at the credits. (I was taping it.) Same actress (Suzanne Snyder), but different character.

They've done that a few other times, too, I think (had the same actor/actress play different characters in different eps). If anyone has any other examples, feel free to share...

My guess is that she wouldn't eat Jerry's pie because the fork from HIS mouth had touched the pie.

1: my theory is she must've seen something Jerry didn't, much as Jerry saw Poppie not washing up after defecating. a lot of the humor of the situation for me was the dawning realization that her reason for shaking her head "no" was probably similar to Jerry's. maybe she'd just been in the bathr00m, and seen the waitress who brought the pie do the same exact thing.

2: yes, Poppie was brought up on several "Health Code violations." the details weren't mentioned, though.

They never explain it. Jerry tells George "It's one for the ages." at the end of the episode.

My theory is that she didn't want to eat from Jerry's fork. Pretty ironic seeing as how her father is "a little sloppy."

I'm not sure what The Board of Health would do in such a case. Probably shut Poppie's down.
