On January 23 NBC reran the "Medical Records" episode. Elaine tried to retrive her records by having Kramer pose as a doctor. Kramer asked Elaine for her scarfe so he could use it as part of his disguise. The "Scarfe" looked a lot like a jewish prayer shawl with it's fringed edges. Did any one besides me catch this?

Elaine is not Jewish!!!! Her character said it point blank once already this season!!!! Also, remember the episode where her and Jerry were going to be God parents, and they had to go to the brist (sp?). Elaine had to find the Moyle (sp?) and she didn't even know what it was or how to get one....
I just have one question---Why do people care??
Maybe it's because I live in Austin but I just don't get why so many people care if Elaine is Jewish or not, if George is Jewish or not, if JERRY is Jewish or not...what's the big deal???
Why oh why is it necessary to put everybody into a category---I just don't get it...

It doesn't matter who is worse than the other. He's entitled to his opinion as you are. If he perceives her that way, let him perceive it that way. When the truth gets presented to him in a believable format and in a presentable way, maybe he'll change, but in the meanwhile, you haven't ever met the man face to face and ergo do not know of his character to say such calloused things to justify yourself, the same of him or myself. I've corresponded with him for longer than six months and can attest to you that some seople will remain fixated on something for an inordinate amount of time until the situation changes. If he wants to think she's Jewish, despite the facts to the contrary, then let him have it. It's not up to any of us to be his judges because we're all human.

As far as flames go, it goes something like this. If I've (through superficial interaction on the Net) determine you (not you personally, Mary) are a grand idiot because you've done something incredibly dumb and offensive, I'll remark about it in exagerrated terms for effect. Flames are rarely accurate or in proportion to the offense. :)
Mary, if it looks like a troll, speaks like a troll, smells like a troll, and acts like a troll, it's most likely a troll. Trolls deserve a good flame occasionally. They enjoy it and also helps to weed down the would-be troll population . :)

Oh my, you ARE compassionate and good. You are a far nicer and more forgiving person than myself. If a person goes around and farts in people's faces - which is what Tharp is basically doing, but calling it roses - I won't tolerate it, and will retaliate. You, on the other hand, would probably find out the cause of this strange behaviour and try to correct it. I can't be bothered and would instead redirect the offender's ass, kicking it away from my face. :)

Like I said on more than one occasin I'm not fixited on this particular subject Last year one member of this group quoted Jason Alexander who said that the show was written & acted by jews & that the characters were also jews.

I would like to thank Mike for his polite input. He doesn't agree with me & he and others are correct to state that there's been evidence to the contrary. My point is that there's been a small number of clues that she is indeed Jewish.
