The fifth floor hall ends at doorways to both Jerry and Kramer's apartment unit. Yet, make a left into Jerry's and then a right and another right, your're in the bathroom! Technically that bathroom has a wall common with the hall's end. Yet, there's a window that technically should be looking into Kramer's unit.

There is obviously something magical about NYC apartments. In the early episodes, Jerry didn't have a bedroom, and the windows next to his desk went from the floor to the ceiling (kind of like a greenhouse). Somehow, a bedroom was added and the windows shrank.
Visit the Ricardo's on I Love Lucy.... sometimes there's a window in the wall to the left of their apartment door, and sometimes it's not there. Before Little Ricky was born, they lived in a one bedroom apartment. Then he came along...presto...suddenly it's a two-bedroom.

If I recall my Lucy trivia correctly (and my Lucy episode guide) there is an episode in which Lucy attempts to get Ricky to move to a bigger apartment in the building (this episode is following Little Ricky's birth)...I don't recall the exact title of the episode, but I recall the final few scenes, in which Lucy, Ethel, and Fred move all of the Ricardo's furniture into the other apartment, thinking that Ricky won't be able to say no to moving if they've already moved...but at the same time, Ricky has a moving company take all of the stuff in the apartment downstairs (which belongs to a couple who no longer needs a two roomed apartment...all their kids have moved out and married) and bring it up stairs (and bring the Ricardo's stuff downstairs)...at the end both apartments end up with the furniture they started with, and Ricky caves (as always) and they take the bigger apartment...

The first few. Check out "The Stakeout"; Jerry's parents come to visit, and they're sleeping on Jerry's fold-out couch. Jerry informs them that he'll be sleeping in Kramer's apartment (since they're using his "bed").
