Product Advertising on Seinfeld

Just on the topic of cereals and Seinfeld....are any of those cereals we see real products? (I come from a land down under and don't know what you guys eat for breakfast).

I was under the impression that all those other products that Seinfeld advertised/ placed were fictitious and therefore a real send up of modern advertising.

How about the following, are they real or not: Joogee Fruits (these got Elaine into trouble with a boyfriend) The Black and White Cookie (resulted in Jerry throwing up for the first time this decade) Junior Mints (gave someone a stomach ache) Yanke Beans (Elaine fed these to her aged boyfriend and sang a jingle) Blakes? Coffee Cake

There were also this drink that George mentioned when he at one point had written a list of things to talk about.

He says: "Why isn't ****** a more popular drink?" and Jerry replies: "Yeah, ******* is underrated."

Now what was the name of that one?

Postum. A coffee substitute made from ?grain? Never had it. George sure does think alot (evolution of toilet paper)!

It's not Juju-fruits...it's JUJYFRUIT. And yes, they are all real.

yankee beans are real drakes coffee cake is real there is a black and white cookie junior mints are real juggie fruits are real

they have also mentioned Kix cereal(real) Henegans(sp?) brandy i think(real) Clark candy Bar(real) then there was all the chocolate syrup(bosco, nestles quick, hersheys, etc.)(all real)

Yes, JuJu Fruits and Drakes Coffee Cake are real-the JUJU Fruits are sold at NY area movie theaters and candy stores, and Drake's is a product line of cupcakes and so frth, similar to Little Debbies, for those of you out west... Black and Whites are cookies sold only in REAL bakeries in the NY area (I've been to alot of bakeries in a lot of places, but only saw Black and Whites in NY)

are you kidding? seinfeld makes more references to popular cultural products than any show i've ever seen. junior mints, clark bar, tv guide, mellow yellow... etc. all of the ones you listed were real.

How about the following, are they real or not:

The Black and White Cookie (resulted in Jerry throwing up for the first time this decade)Very Real....go to a good bakery store..a big ( about 6 inch diameter ) cookie half chocolate frosting, half vanilla.

Junior Mints (gave someone a stomach ache)- (stomach ache cause they were iserted IN his open pre surgical abdominal cavity) small minty candies covered in chocolate VERY REAL

Yanke Beans (Elaine fed these to her aged boyfriend and sang a jingle) Yankee Beans..VERY REAL

Blakes? Coffee Cake Drakes Coffee Cake..VERY REAL..come in very small size... regular size..and used to come in real big coffee cake size!

I've seen Jerry and others drink Coca-Cola, Pepsi and Clearly Canadian. Those are all real, as are the things you mentioned. But what about Beef-A-Rino? Is that real? Sounds like it.

Actually, I was reading an article about the product placement in Seinfeld from Entertainment Weekly. Originally, it was Beef-a-roni, but the company asked them not to use the name because of it's ill effects in the show. However, companies do not pay the show to have their products advertised (it's illegal to pay for that kind of advertising), and are basically Jerry's (or other writers) preferences that make it on to the show...
