Viewers discuss a "lost episode" of Seinfeld that NBC promoted, featuring a Gilligan's Island-style plot and Jerry's intro explaining it was taped in a previous season when George still had a job.

I was just wondering here, does anyone remember which episode was the lost episode? NBC made a whole big deal about it, "The Lost Seinfeld Episode." I think the whole thing had a real Gilligan's Island feel to it. Then at he beginning of the episode, Jerry came on and said something like, "this episode was taped during a previous season, and if you note, George still has a job." It was something to that effect. Could anyone tell me what the name of this episode was? It's just weighing on my mind.

The episode was "The Stranded" when Jerry and Elaine are left by George at a party on Long Island. Here is where the infamous "dingo" quote is from. It was shown after "The Revenge", where George quits his job at the real estate firm. Before the show started, Jerry appeared at his desk at homw saying that this show was taped when George still had a job. He says something like, "We just wanted to let you know that we know that you know." Confusing?
