Thank You Paramount

Thank you Paramount - in one sense genuinely for starting Season 7 last night in the UK. And in one sense with deep sarcasm: how can you possibly justify running Season 6 all the way through up to The Face Painter and then going straight to The Betrayal i.e not showing the final episode of Season 6 (The Understudy).

Admittedly I must be in a minority having had every episode of Season 6 except the final one taped and thus glad of what I presumed would be an opportunity to get it, but that hardly excuses it. What kind of mind has a series that will draw to it's final conclusion on a Friday night, then decides to yank it and start a new one, instead of waiting until the Monday? Absolutely ludicrous.

Oops I mis-typed. Paramount went from The Face Painter to *The Engagement* (first ep of season 7). Don't know where I got The Betrayal from.

I was wondering why they did it too, Brian. I too missed the last ep of Season 6 during the BBC2 run - I got a synopsis of it from a mate in the US (by the online name of Art Vandelay..)

It was really dumb. If they really felt they couldn't show the whole series - if they felt for some reason they had to start the new season on the Friday - why not drop an episode somewhere in the middle as opposed to the finale? Totally moronic.

(I did see it when it was last run on Paramount at least; I just forgot to restart my recording after the break and it would have been nice to complete the season.)
