Fans celebrate The Dinner Party as potentially the show's creative peak, praising its abundance of absurdist humor including the babka, black and white cookie, gortex coat, and double-parking debates.
In my opinion the absolute high water mark of the series.
Sooo much to love in that episode... The black and white cookie, chickens with individual personalities, the ethics of double-parking, lesser babka's, gortex coats, Pepsi and ring-dings... The list goes on and on.
I'm interested in everyone else's opinion. What episode do you consider to be the show's creative peak?

I always liked the Dealership episode where they talk about the candy bars, not filling up gas, getting a better deal because a friend knows someone. I always laughed hard at that episode.

George with his gortex coat questioning the gift-bringing fabrics of society as Jerry puts it. He and Kramer go to get some wine, they get double parked, and George claims a dictator did it ("You think Mussolini would circle the block?"). Jerry takes on race relations and Elaine is cheated out of a Chocolate Babka. George gets change to buy the wine (he prefers Pepsi) and Kramer buys a Penthouse Forum. Kramer believes they are true, George thinks otherwise ("Well you know there's an unusual amount of people in this country having sex with paraplegics!!!") The blcak and white cookie ends Jerry's vomit streak (time without refunding) while Elaine resorts to cinnamon babka. George meets Saddam them gets to the bakery in time to ask Elaine, "Cinnamon? Why didn't you get chocolate?" And about another 100 brilliant things in between. Classic? I think so.

I know it's a later episode, but I like The Voice.

Actually for a later episode "The Voice" is pretty good. I particularly like this bit of dialogue...

Sorry but I gotta disagree with you. I think it's one of the weaker episodes from season 5. Some of the dialog is funny (the whole Pepsi vs. wine thing) but I have a personal pet peeve against shows where everything that can go wrong does go wrong. The bakery and liquor store scenes are just aggravating.

I am a big fan of farce so I do enjoy episodes where an inordinate amount of bad things happen. It goes back to my favorite show of all time, Fawlty Towers.
Yeah, but not EVERYTHING went wrong -- I mean it could have been the real Saddam that double parked, blocking them in -- AND, george did not end up telling the double parker off, thus keeping him and Kramer from being shot.
Just a couple of examples...
