Fans identify the police officer character in a diner scene as an actor from Police Academy movies, discussing his previous roles and commercial work.

The cop in the diner who ordered the sandwich and coffee instead of "just a muffin". What other shows has he been in? I recognised him immediately, but couldn't figure out where I'd seen him before.

He also charged the sandwich and coffee to Jerry's bill, didn't he?

I thought that this was a wonderful bit of casting. The cop has played in all (I think all) of the Policy Academy movies. However, he was not in the same character that he played in the movies, which was a gun-lover and an all around nutcase. He was much more laid back in Seinfeld.

Yeah, he was familiar. Isn't he the guy from the Police Academy movies? Tackleberry or something like that? This guy was a real gun freak, as I remember, in those movies. Can anybody confirm?
