Vocations??

We know how Seinfeld pays the rent, and that George has no job, but what about Elaine and Kramer??? What do they do??? I remember Elaine attempted to write a "Murphy Brown" episode once.

Have I missed this in one of the episodes?

Yes and no.

Elaine reviews books for Pendant Publishers ("Pendant, those bastards!") which has been a part of at least five episodes I can think of :

The Jacket - "Master of the House" The Statue - "Police! Up against the wall" The Red Dot - "Was that wrong?" The Library - "Cantstandya, cantstandya" The Letter - "He is a loathsome offensive brute, yet I can't look away."

Kramer, on the other hand, has no job that has been mentioned. Trust me, the less we know about Kramer (and this includes his one and only name of "Kramer"), the better. His mysteriousness (including both his job or means of income and name) is all part of his character, IMHO.

Elaine works for Pendant Publishing (Those Bastards!).

Yup. It's been mentioned in a bunch of episodes. Off hand, I can remember that her work has been mentioned in the following episodes:

The Jacket    -  tells her father about Pendant  (Dad: Those Bastards)
The Stranded  -  tells person at party  (Jerry: Those Bastards)
The Statue    -  Working with Jerry's apartment cleaner's girlfriend's book
The Red Dot   -  Elaine gets George a job at Pendant
The Letter    -  Elaine goes to ballgame instead of boss' party.

In the episode where Seinfeld gets audited by the IRS, Kramer says something about how easily he gets his taxes done to which Seinfeld points out that he, Kramer does not have an income. So it's a safe bet that Kramer is George's co-worker :)
