Fans react to news of Seinfeld's cancellation with mixed emotions, with some wanting to fight it through letter campaigns while others believe the show has declined and should end gracefully.
I'm quite amazed (actually distressed) after hearing on NBC this AM that Jerry is calling it quits.
The only thing making it worth being near a TV on a Thursday night is leaving the air. :-(
I don't think a letter writing campaign would hurt.
Some have their opinions that Seinfeld is horrible, but I , for one, will miss the gang coming into my living room every Thursday.

Maybe we could take up a collection among us ng subscribers and match Jack Welch's five million dollar offer to Jerry. (^_^) Maybe he'd do another season for ten mil.
Or, I wonder, seriously: What if Welch offered Larry David something on a par with what he's offered Jerry? I tend to agree the show missed Mr. David. Maybe getting him back would help keep Jerry going.
Dunno' if Jerry is about money...If what he's said all along is true, thenhe may have had enough, and he can go out on top.
If one of Jerry's motivations is a burn out (of sorts, IMHO) to call it quits,then maybe a reunion with Larry would be a way to convince Jerry to stay. All in all, if Seinfeld has been that much of a cash cow for NBC, then who knows what will happen ??
I, for one, don't think Friends, etc... can take Seinfeld's place.

friends of seinfeld: whatt has happened to yur memories??? i will be willing to bet big bucks that after this season you will see Jerry's engagement to Shoshanna Lowenstein-who only loves NYC-and adjacent to that article you will see another that discusses how a panicking NBC gives Seinfeld $15million per episode for him to do the show "Live from NY-at studio 8H (SNL stomping grounds)"
I thought it was a 5 million PER EPISODE offer. At least, that's what the Chicago Tribune said.

I will miss the show as well but it is time for it to end. This year has been woefully unfunny.

I think ER stinks. I've seen it and it doed nothing for me. And what about the season preimer. IT SUCKED. If they were trying to bring in more viewers w/ a live show, i know one family who has tuned out for good. you want good comedy tune to Newsradio.
