Thread asks about filming locations for exterior scenes in Seinfeld, with replies explaining that most outdoor scenes were filmed on studio lots in California rather than actual New York locations.
I'd like to know where all of the outside scenes were filmed. The inside scenes were of course filmed inside a studio, but there were alot of street-scenes, and where were those filmed? (For instance The Puerto Rican Day?). I heard something of a huge outside set where all kinds of movies and series were filmed, but you can't just rebuild every building in a block?

I don't know for sure, but I suspect they were filmed in California, either on location or on a large outdoor set.
On the Paramount lot, they have several blocks of "city" on a giant outdoor set, and depending on which direction the cameras are pointed and how the set is dressed, it can be made to look like a number of different cities in any recent time period (e.g. NY in the 50's, an Italian villa, etc.) I don't know if any Seinfeld scenes were filmed there, but it's possible.
Most were filmed on alot.
