Baseball

Baseball was an important part of the Seinfeld atmosphere. It is America's pass time and an integral part of American culture. My question is... Excluding the present Yankees where George worked, when was a person actually playing baseball (professional or amateur) shown or mentioned and in what position, in what episode.

Mookie Wilson(Mets) was supposed to be at the bar where Elaine and Hernandez had their first date. Elaine tells Jerry that he was there.

Kramer fansies himself a pitcher & mentions a ton of old Yankee players when he goes to fantacy camp, dusts off Joe Pepitone & eventually punches Mickey Mantle. Kramer also mentions Clete Boyer and Moose Skowren. (sp)

It seems Elaine enjoys reading books at Putties softball games ( much to Putty's dismay).

George wanted to name his son, if he ever had one, Seven, in honor of Mickey Mantle's number.
