BLOOPER!!!!!!-blood episode.

hello fellow seinfeld fans. let me ask you all a question, how could jerry have any tupperware when he already admitted to not having tupperware on a past episode where george has a wig, and jerry takes a lie detector test???-blooper!-MaZzGuY

That's not a blooper....it's an inconsistancy.....

I don't know...I can't see Jerry buying tupperware which would mean either going to a tupperware party or ordering it special from the tupperwear dealer. <G> In my humble opinion, I have to think that it is indeed a blooper and their continuity people didn;t catch it. Ofcourse, after 7 years of so many details, guess this type of thing is bound to happen. JENN

This is a common misconception on the Net. Continuity is a motion picture term for someone who matches the details of one shot to another. There are no "continuity people" on a TV series trying to catch "mistakes" like this. Only "Internet people" focus on things like this. If an employee of a television production company were to bring up something like this seriously, that person would be cruelly mocked forever.

However, in the interest of putting one more goblin to rest, let me point out that there is no blooper or inconsistency in this case. Jerry can honestly say he has no Tupperware in his house, even though he may have dozens of Serving Savers or some other plastic container with a vacuum seal lid. And Kramer can, as so many people do, refer to any such container as "tupperware" even though it isn't made by Tupperware, the same way people use "rollerblade" or "kleenex" or "coke." I grew up in New York, and we caled all such containers "tupperware."

Well, I am using the term continuity loosely here as you are right, that it is matching details up from shot to shot in films. Most of my experience has been with films and commercials. But there are those in television production who are supposed to keep any eye out for reasonably sized inconsistencies. I have to disagree with you. Now to what extent is determined by each production company. Ofcourse, anyone in particular production positions that did remember anything about the tupperware etc. etc. wouldn't bother to mention it. I don't think that this business with the tupperware was one that was any big deal and I doubt that even if they did find it that they would have bothered to change it. As you mentioned, alot of people call plastic bowls tupperware and as others mentioned, he could have bought some. The original poster called it a blooper and I referred to it as one since it is just in the name of fun.

I'd say it would depend on the production company and the production people who are working on a particular series as to what would be laughed off and what would be mocked. You have some productions that the people are really great and then you have others where the atmosphere is strained. Depends. Have a feeling that the SEINFELD bunch are pretty laid back.

there are many of these so called *bloopers* if you look for them. it's tv land, that's allowed. example: jerry claims to be lactose intolerant but keeps milk and ice cream and has been seen ingesting them :-)

He just said that as a joke. "I'm lactose intolerant...I have no patience for lactose, and I won't stand for it!!" And we all know that Jerry puts milk on his favorite food...cereal!

Looks like the writers are getting pretty sloopy. But that's no suprise, considering that the show has been completely revamped into a brainless sitcom, soon to be quickly fortgotten.

The past two seasons will be forgotten by the year 2001 or so (eventhough they will apear in syndication by then, most people will soon realize that the older episodes are much better).
