George and twix

I was thinking about this the other day. Sometimes I don't think the writers of Seinfeld think ahead or pay attention like we do, lol...but, In the Dealership, remember how George was trying to get the twix from the machine? At the end of the episode, he had a candy "line up." Now, where in the world did he get all those twix bars? And since he did get them, why didn't he just keep them for himself? Sometimes little things like that puzzle me. I have another one....nothing to do with Seinfeld, but maybe one of you can help...lol...Last night I was playing pool at this bar. It was on one of those 75 cent tables. Now, every time we got a ball in, it stayed locked in the pool table. BUT when we had a scratch and the white ball went in the pool table, it came back out. Now, how does the pool table know which ball is which? How does it know to only give me back the white ball? Any pool players out there can help with this one? :o)

Right! That doesn't make any sense. Granted, it's just a sitcom and there are plenty of other illogical elements in the show. But even a fictional world like in Seinfeld still has to follow its *own* rules. The Dealership is one of my least favorite episodes because of the ending. And not just George's subplot--why does the salesmen driving with Kramer have a complete personality shift halfway through the episode? I dunno, it all just seemed rather silly, and kind of a cop-out by the writers.

Ahh, so the colored balls are locked away and "Whitey" goes free? It's discrimination, I tell ya'! ;-)

Seriously though, I've wondered the same thing. I just assumed it was something mechanical (perhaps the cue ball is a slightly different diameter or weight?), but I don't know. Magic?

I believe the cue ball is slightly smaller than the rest.

I thought the cue ball was either of a different *size* or density.

I'm a pool player (the *billiards* type-yuk yuk yuk) and I believe that was the answer I got at one time.

Wondered about the Twix bars myself...but didn't let it ruin my enjoyment of the ep.

It's like in another episode when George is supposed to bring some ball player to a PBS-like fundraiser, but he takes a detour and follows another car for something like an hour all because he thought the driver made an obscene gesture at him. As it turns out, the driver's hand was broken and was bandaged with his middle finger extended out.

The cue ball is a little smaller; put it next to a regular one and you can see it very easily.
