I've always thought of Elaine as an anti-smoker.
Examples of her dislike for smoking can be seen in : (a) "The New Friend" - she dumped a baseball player called Keith becoz he smoked ;
(b) "The Suicide" - she scolded the pregnant psychic for smoking while having a baby
I was shocked when Elaine smoked a cigar with Jerry in "The Calzone".
How did this happen ?

This is not necessarily a sign of anti-smoking. A smoker can realize that it is dangerous for a pregnant woman to smoke but not be against it.

Could you not see it coming ? She was KING right there ! I would have done the same thing. And I hate smoking! Btw, did Elaine ever say anything through these years to Kramer's Cigar ?

It's simple. Elaine is just too trendy to shy away from cigars, since it's the in thing to do, as is being against cigarette smoking. It's also a matter of Seinfeld cashing in on the fads of the day. Smoking cigars is so popular now that it's just too expensive for me to smoke, so I had to quit. Glad to see that these high living New Yorkers can still afford it though.
