Jerry said this in the syndicated episode (Wednesday, July 10th - "The Jacket"). It was in reference to Kramer's offer of "a lift." Scene: Jerry and George were sitting in restaurant with Altan Benis waiting for Elaine. George replies: "Where do you come up with this stuff?"

My guess is Yeats. Hope some lit scholar can help!

My ignorance prevents me from saying for sure, but I think it was Jerry's own interpretation on Homer's iliad or some other Greek mythology regarding the Sirens.
