"Scarsdale Suprise"

If you are not from NYC area, you probably don't know that the characters used in this fake musical for which Kramer "won" a Tony were real. There was an actual doctor Tarnauer who was from Scarsdale, NY. He was murdered in a jealous rage by Jean Harris, his ass't and ex-lover. She served time and is now out on parole. Tarnauer wrote a diet book in the '70's "The Scarsdale Diet". The great thing about this episode is that it's a total swipe on how lame Broadway musicals are and how they will make ANYTHING into a stupid musical (like Victor Hugo novels and the Titanic sinking). A fantastic episode and one of my favorites.
