European viewers discuss varying broadcast schedules and cancellations of Seinfeld reruns in their regions, with some stations showing the series daily while others have reduced or stopped airing it.

Many times Europeans have posted in the group that the broadcast/cable station that carries Seinfeld in their area has stopped showing the show, sometimes permanently, sometimes temporarily. Is this sort of thing common on your side of the pond? Where I live, two broacast stations have carried Seinfeld reruns since they first became available.
If it's common, any reason for it?

Belgian1 just aired the finale last night. So what now? I guess that's it for this year :(
Fox8 used to to air it most of the week but then they paused, sometimes a very long pause, then back on again for a couple of weeks, and less and less Seinfeld each week til it just stopped . But this channel is screwed up anyway, they only air stupid and bad programs. All I ask for is 1 or 2 nights of Seinfeld a week.

Check your tv guide, Fox8 will be airing Seinfeld tonight at 22.15. Can't tell which episode though, haven't seen any preview yet. I'll be taping it anyway just in case it's an episode I don't already have.
I think they will be running a once a week schedule now, but I'm not sure about that. It doesn't compare to some months ago anyway when there where 4 stations broadcasting the Seinfeld series (fox8, brt, veronica and bbc), 3 of them on a daily basis. I really drove my vcr crazy during that period *lol* ;o)

Well yesterday BRT aired the last episode (The Finale (2)). From now on they will broadcast "Ellen". Damn.

And again reruns of seaon 4 because prizes went up for Ellen's season 5 and they didn't buy it, now did they(!) But they did a good job with Seinfeld, all eps, in good order, every weekday exept friday. It was fun. Maybe BBC2 will air a few Seinfelds in the middle of the night on some bleu mondays.

Well it turned out to be the reversed peephole episode, I already got that one on tape for like ages, damn! >o(
And besides, I think Fox8 already aired this ep before so they're onto reruns.... again >>o(
Yep, Fox8 will be gone in 6 months. Too bad. I also enjoy David Letterman. He'll be gone somewhere in February. Damn again.

Here in Portugal the show was never cancelled, all 180 episodes were broadcasted every weekday in 1998 and re-broadcasted atarting last year (just ended a week ago). The problem is that it only came on around 2:00-4:00AM, so whoever taped all episodes (yes, you're looking at him) really needs to catch up with his sleep.
