I had never been a big adherent of the various "Seinfeld sellout" theories, although I have noticed a certain unevenness in the shows so far this year.
After watching today's (Sunday) Today show, however, I'm not so sure.
Apparently this week's show will feature Al Roker, who is the Today Show's weatherman.
What's this "selling out" talk about. Seinfeld is an NBC show! You can talk about someone selling out when they are perceived as having had firm principles heretofore. Seinfeld and his cronies have been shills for someone or other for a long time. Geez, it's only a TV show for chrissake. A very funny one (usually) but still just a TV show. It's not SDS's Port Huron Manifesto or even Abbie Hoffman's "Steal this Bok."

Besides, if Costello had watched any recent commentary of Mr. Roker or Mr. Seinfeld, he would know that they were in fact college roommates and still good friends.
