Shoplifting?

Correct me if I'm wrong but don't you have to actually leave the bookstore without paying before you can be arrested for theft?

Someone was talking about episodes that made you mad? Well this one really pissed me off.

Grassing on uncle Leo I can just about understand; but dobbing on George at the end was ridiculous. What kind of friend is Jerry? He knows George has a prior for movie piracy.

Does anyone know if this is stand alone episode or part of the finale mythos?

What the hell happened to Newman too? He goes flying down the hill in a rickshaw, most likely kills that pedestrian and Kramer makes a sharp exit?

What the hell is everyone's problem? Why read into it so much. Sit back, relax, and watch! The show is not meant to be broken down and studied under a microscope!! You people are probably why he's calling it quits! He hates the constant scrutiny from his fans. Why watch it if you hate it and are just going to pick it apart?? Who cares about these little minor details?? LAUGH!! It's funny!!

When I was a kid, I was busted for shoplifting without leaving the store. I was a minor, and the cops detained me until my parents arrived, but still.

And urinating in a public place, but that's not the point. Jerry turned in George to get Uncle Leo off the hook. Blood is thicker than water.

Just to nitpick: George was planning to steal the book, then try to get a refund. Wouldn't the scanners show it had never been paid for?

Not really. The ISBN # will not change for the same book. As long as George brings a receipt, the store wouldn't know.

this episode was advertised as jerry, george and kramer meeting women in a bookstore. however there wasn't even an attempt to show this. we have to go for another month of seinfeld hype. there are actually going to be seinfeld viewing parties around nyc even an invitation only one at toms resturant on the upper west side.

i'll stick to the re-runs. tonights episode was the one where jerry's dry cleaner is wearing jerry's clothes and kramer sells his clothes to kenny bania and is stuck in a barneys womens dressing room. the final shot is classic: kramer walking down the street wearing only jerry's mothers fur coat.
