Did anyone else find this episode mildly disturbing? I found the episode a bit tastelss, myself. They were so casual about her death, especially George ( really no surprise there, but still). Its probably the only episode I have a problem with.

No, he just picked up the cheapest invitations to their wedding... The sell-woman told them the manufacture of those invitations has stopped, but he couldn't tell that they were poisoned...

I believe invitations and their envelopes are the bride's responsibility. Susan died a horrible accidental death--but one which was ultimately her own fault. George has done a lot of things he should be ashamed of but he has no reason for feelings of guilt in the tragic early expiration of his fiance.

I never saw that episode but I heard George was releaved that she was dead. I think that is kind of sick. This should have been a very serious episode and not a joke. Or was it?

Are you kidding me? A serious Seinfeld episode? Ha Ha Ha, that was pretty funny.

One of the greatest thing about Seinfeld is that it never takes itself seriously. In other sitcoms, the "live studio audience" always goes "ohhhhhhh" when something romantic, cute or whatever happens... I guess I have seen every Seinfeld episode, and the only "cute" moment (with "ohhhhhhhhhh"'s) I can remember was in "The Busboy", I don't remember it clearly, but I do know that the busboy has an accident right after it.

It's Seinfeld! it's not supposed to be serious!!! In a drama he would have been sad, but Seinfeld isn't a drama!!

I think if George Costanza was in a drama, and his fiance died, he'd still act indifferent. Now if it was another character in a drama...

Best part of that episode was when they are at the hospital and the doctor tells George that Susan is dead and George replies "Are you sure?".

you won't believe this but,,,, I missed the episode where George's fiance Susan died. I've been trying to find out what happened for a year ! and now I've found this newsgrop.

You missed it?? Sorry...it was really funny...did you know that if Jerry was gonna do that episode all over again, he would have had George gone completely hysterical (with happiness) when she died? I read it in an interview.

Susan died licking toxic crap off of old envelopes used for their wedding invitations. George insisted on getting these invitations to save some bucks.

Did the actress who played George's fianc�, Susan, really die?
