For what it's worth...
Not only did the Associated Press run a story on what happened to the "Seinfeld" characters in the finale, they even ran a *separate* story on the fact that George admitted he cheated in "The Contest"--making Jerry the real winner.
Wonder if they had another contest in prison? *That* would have made a hell of a final scene...
