Jerry & Elaine married?

A previous message discussed the possibility of Elaine and Jerry getting married or almost married as an ending to the series. Give the writers more credit! They are writing a parody of the typical sitcom. The show is the antithesis of all the other domestic comedies. Why would they - or the fans - want such a trite, hackneyed ending. Now I could see it if Kramer and George decided they were gay and ran off together. Or perhaps Elaine would marry the Soup Nazi, and Jerry would give up everything and enter a Trappist monastery. That happens after Uncle Leo gets elected mayor of New York, and George's parents become marriage counselors. RD
