Just Like The Old Days!!!!

I don't know about anyone else, but I thought that the 10/17 episode, "The Package," had ALL the elements of a classic Seinfeld! It was SO perfect, it seemed like the script was out of a "How To Write A Seinfeld" textbook. George's insecurity with women leading him to do something incredibly stupid, Jerry's skepticism about the circus going on around him, Kramer giving bad advice to Jerry and George, and Elaine's bitchiness. Throw in a terrific cameo by George Foreman,flashbacks to such classic episodes as "The Nipple" and "The Outing," a virtuoso performance by Newman (whose business card reads simply, "NEWMAN") with elements of his "Basic Instinct" role (with HIM under the hot lights and Jerry sipping a soft drink!), not to mention Uncle Leo with painted-on eyebrows looking like a performer in "Cirque Du Soleil," the vast medical conspiracy that followed Elaine around...and the most convoluted interweaving plotlines I've seen since in ages!

It's almost as if they dusted off an old Larry David script...or the writers have been reading this newsgroup! :-) So far, this ranks right up there with "The Bizarro Jerry" in the Seinfeld pantheon! Let's hope they keep it up!

Because the season, up until BJ, was pretty wretched.

Not Foreman, it was Bari K. Willerford.

O.K., O.K., so it wasn't Foreman! File this with my mis-identification of Paul Reiser (rather than Mark De Carlo) as Alec Berg in "The Face Painter". Gotta get new contact lenses, I guess! :-)

At least I spelled "Cirque Du Soleil" correctly! :-)
