Northern Exposure: Possible Seinfeld reference?

Seinfeld is indeed a Jewish name, and Jerry is indeed the product of a Jewish upbringing. This is not speculation; he's said so. And that certainly was a reference to Jerry. Northern Exposure is a pretty hip show, and they wouldn't miss the opportunity to make a nod to Seinfeld.

I'm sure it was, because the episode contained some other hip references, too. My favorite: among the "posse" of Jews on horseback are a pair introduced as "The Coen Brothers.. Joel and Ethan."

Joel and Ethan Coen, of course, are the team responsible for BARTON FINK, RAISING ARIZONA, MILLER'S CROSSING....
