Watched the finale again last night, and it seemed a little better, but still generally weak.
I don't want to hear crap about 'I didn't get the satire', because I got it perfectly well, it just wasn't that funny, especially the whole trial thing.
The first ten or fifteen minutes were OK, and although there wasn't anything terribly funny in them, most Seinfelds started that way, establishing the general situations of the episode. In this regard, it started out with promise, but once the trial started, and the whole Geraldo, O.J., 'bring everybody back to convict them for their callousness' thing happened, it became a real letdown, and any laughter was minimal.
Frankly, I could do without any more courtroom, O.J., John Grisham-type crap altogether, but that's besides the point, because if it was funny, it wouldn't have mattered. Yes, it was a convenient way to get many old characters back and try to provide some type of closure, but it just seemed too convenient and not as inventive as you might have expected from Larry David.
