Just like everyone else, I wasn't very happy about the finale. To me it didn't feel like the funny Seinfeld type show that we are used to. But, if you really think about it, it was a fitting ending. They get their just desserts by being banished from society. The characters wind up in jail which may be a little symbolic as to how they feel about forever being locked into these characters. I kind of feel like the story wasn't completed. Maybe Seinfeld will have a change of heart and do a special after their "year in jail" is up.

This is an interesting view. You've talked me into taking a second look. I taped it, and I think I'll watch it again. I don't think Seinfeld will be back as a sitcom, but maybe there was greater symbolism than I first realized. Or maybe I'm being one of those die-hard fans who read so much into everything.
