Seinfeld - Bum?

JERRY SEINFELD found that fame doesn't always open doors, when he was thrown out of a Los Angeles restaurant for looking like a bum. The American sitcom star got his marching orders from the head waiter, who took offence at Seinfeld's unshaven face and scruffy clothes. But as he turned to leave, the waiter suddenly realised who he was turning away, and remembered that he did have a spare table after all. But Seinfeld just snapped back, "No thanks, I think that I would rather eat at home."

Is it just me, or does this prove that fame DOES open doors? He was being thrown out of the restaurant until he was recognized, at which point he was let into the restaurant. You kind of disproved your opening statement with that last one.
