Isn't there too much of a similarity beween Elaine's ending up with Puddy, the Face Painter, after yearning to date doctors, dentists, - and Cheer's Rebecca ending up with a plumber after yearning for the rich businessmen in her life?
(Gee, my wife settled for me too, maybe it's universal?)
Just goes to show that dreams can't come true for everyone...the real gems come in plain wrappers, and David Puddy is certainly quite a gem.

Elaine didn't spend a lot of time complaining about not dating a dctor or some other professional guy. Rebecca spent an enormous amount of time bemoaning the fact that she couldn't snag some wealthy guy. The two characters don't seem all that similar to me.
The only similarity I see between Elaine and Rebecca is that they both ended up with regular blue collar guys. In typical Rebecca fashion, we find out that her plumber husband (played by Tom Berenger, I forgot the character's name) struck it rich with some flushing invention and then dumped her. This is revealed when Sam Malone pays a visit to Frasier.
