There is a cultural difference here, i think. Even i, a Chinese student, felt a little offended by the reference to Gandhi. I didn't laugh a bit at least, although Seinfeld is my favorite sit-com and i usually laugh all the way. Actually, i even didn't feel comfortable with Seinfeld's making joke on elders.
