I hope that I'm not gonna come across as totally ignorant, but in last night's show the final show was of George's glasses and gloves? on top of the lockers at the health club. I don't get it! Can anyone explain? Am I just being particularly dense?

Well... yes. 8^>

George's glasses weren't stolen. Being the shmuck that he is, George left them on top of the locker.

Hello?! What the hell were you doing when the show was on?? You obviously weren't paying attention to the storyline, because George's glasses were the main topic of the show! I suggest you start to pay attention when you watch the show next time.

The reason that they show George's glasses is because he thinks that some- one from the health club stole them, and this indicates that he went to all the trouble of finding a new pair of glasses for nothing, because he just forgot them on top of the locker. If you did indeed watch this episode, why did you think they were in the optical store so much. Didn't you see George trying on new glasses?? The fact that George's glasses were *stolen* was mentioned several times during the length of the show. (Squinting to see??)

Thanks for the suggestion, but I was indeed paying attention to the show. I just did not understand the final shot. I realize that the show can be quite complicated (joke) but I was looking for a more complicated reason for why they were on top of the locker. By the way, you are the biggest asshole who I've ever seen post anything.

the

Yes the fact that they were stolen was mentioned, and my slow mind obviously did not make the transition to the fact that he actually just left them somewhere. By the way, you are an incredibly huge asshole, and probably the kind that, if you spoke to me in the tones that you posted in I would either laugh in your face or beat the crap out of you. Please stay away from where I live because I might be tempted to do both. For now you are just in my killfile. Congratulations. Oh, by the way, did I mention that you were an asshole?

I would like to thank everyone who sent me a polite answer to my simple little query. I do promise to pay attention this week, like I do every week. By the way, you've got an incredibly annoying and wasteful signature. It would be a good picture of you if it was a big penis. By the way did I mention that you were an asshole?

Just wondering along this same line, I got the joke at the end but didn't it look like the locker was too tall for George to put them up there? And even if he could, he would have to stretch or get assistance? So, did some one hide them from him up there?

Be patient with Phil. He hasn't finished his education yet. I understand Drake University has the 13-year plan for a Bachelor's Degree.

Probably a liberal arts major, too.

Just thought I'd comment (to anyone who cares) that I cleared this whole thing up with Phil. It appears that his brother posted that message, and that brother is the asshole, who is unaware of internet etiquette. Phil was not around at the time, so unfortunately the bro got a hold of the computer. Now back to the serious stuff...Seinfeld discussions!

Just my $0.02 worth. Please note the underlined portion of the original message:

                                                          ^^^^^^^

Perhapse the original poster was not questioning the glasses so much as the gloves? I am not certain that they were gloves, but there DEFINATELY was something else up there on top of the locker with the glasses. Yet in the show, the only thing George lost was glasses. So what was that other thing ontop of the locker?

[email] (Michael Gershbein) writes:

Mike, I myself did not realize that there were gloves in the final shot. The gloves are probably a reference to the hand-modeling job that George had in the previous show (week). The glasses were shown someone had "stolen" his pair. As we saw in the show, George is as blind as a bat. He obviously placed the glasses and the gloves (he was wearing them in the hopes of getting another job) on top of his locker. His squinting power failed him, so he could not find them. Angrily assuming that his "little man" was getting pushed around by society (those bastards), he puts on his sweatpants (which says that he's just giving up) and those ridiculous glasses, and storms out onto the mean streets of New York.
