IT'S OVER SO STOP COMPLAINING

I was sadder to see the show end than I was disappointed at the final episode. The fact is, there is NO way Jerry and the writers could please everyone. We all wanted to see different things happen. Perhaps the prison cell with the four of them entrapped is more symbolic than we all realize. The actors were all tired of the strain the show was putting on them. Perhaps they really will make a comeback in a year like Michael Jordon did. If they choose to do so, then things will just pick up where they stopped. I wish they didn't use the clips and had stronger acting in the finale, but many people wanted to see their old favorites return one last time and this was probably the best way to do it in the time they had. I salute Jerry and the gang for giving me 9 years of the best television I've enjoyed yet. Enjoy your rest! Regina

If I'm not mistaken this happens with British series all the time. They get picked up for a set of a dozen episodes or so, then the next year the network just buys another "series", maybe waits a year, 2 years, another network buys a set, etc. In the US we can see pieces of several "series" of Are You Being Served? on many PBS affiliates.

As a regular episode, it would have been off track, but as a final, I thought it was very cleaver in the self mocking. And benefited from Larry David's writing. Syndication lives!
