Thoughts on Bizarro

Well. I have to say this has been a most entertaining episode. You know, I've been enjoying the surreal touch Seinfeld has been developing in recent seasons, and this episode is a good example of how good it can be...The entire Bizarro concept was done hilariously, down to the littlest details, like the Bizarro statue, Fergus's occupation...in fact, I didn't notice, but I expect Bizarro Jerry's computer is an IBM...:) The side plot with George was also fairly good, and for a while reminiscent of some other Seinfeld plots...but the part at the end, in the meat packing place...the surrealism is really, really, interesting. I must say that I did not really get hooked on the story with the man-handed girlfriend but Kramer's job was a ball, especially when he gets fired. A very good episode, through and through. Let's hope the rest of the season is like this...

I'ld say the funniest episode so far this season.Enjoyed it big time.

It's the funniest of the ones this season for sure. But that's not saying much. Hopefully, we can see some clever writing added into the funny concepts.

Actually I am not familiar with Bizarro from Superman but I got the general idea. This episode just about killed me... and I agree with someone who posted earlier that the Foundation can cheerfully go away... or get funnier. Art Vandeley is a great running gag.

Surreal and absurdist and kind of profound. The idea (in three of the stories) that people might try to change to become more "normal" but are ultimately trapped by their own disturbed personalities. OK, that's often the point of Seinfeld anyway. It's just that Bizarro summed it up so disturbingly well, like if Samuel Beckett had written for television, that could of been one of his scripts.

In the background of Bizzaro Jerry's apartment you can see a statue which appears at a glance to be Superman facing to the right. It's actually Bizarro---note the pale skin. Also, Bizzaro Jerry's dialogue at the very end is a reference to Bizarro's speech patterns. :)

A very good idea I thought but thety didn't quite pull off, because the bizarro characters were (necessarily?) to bland... loved the small details like Jerry's backwards apartment tho...

YES. I have been getting more and more disillusioned with Seinfeld lately, and this episode totally restored my faith. I especially loved Elaine saying "We already have a George." And Bizarro Kramer going "It's Feldman.......from across the hall."
