I have been looking at that bicycle hanging in the hallway for lo these many years...
I can't recall...

And the darn thing isn't even dirty!
The only athletic stuff that I think Jerry has been into has been...
the fitness club basketball softball and the famous sprinting event
But has he ever taken a ride on that bike?
Being an avid cyclist, I have taken a weird interest in this prop.

as i recall he played tennis as well.... but the bike i must admit does just as much as mine does in my house... NOTHING :)

Well I may have found the answer to my question... in the Amex print ad... I think it was in Bicycling Magazine... along with all the Jerry Stuff is a bike... now for those who know... it's a Klien Mountain Bike... pretty impressive...
Now... the big question for someone needing to get a grip (that's me) is this the same bike that is used as a prop on the show? Hmmm, more attempts to fine tune the adjustments on my TV to be able to read the brand name of the bike...

The Brand name is Klein and, of course, it's top of the line. I think I heard that next season there was going to be an eopisode about the bike, something about it being sent it to be fixed, but it getting screwed up. I'd be interested is anyone knew more.
I don't know the whole story behind the bike, but if you have been paying attention you would have noticed that there have been two different bikes over the years. The first was a Cannondale Super V and the present one is a Klein (didn't notice the model). Cannondale and Klein are big-time competitors in the mountain biking arena and Klein finally won the "Seinfeld contract".

The bike story doesn't end here. If you look at older episodes, you may notice that the fork blades (fork ends) are mounted the wrong way! This was rectified during the 94 season (I think). Anyone who knows more about this enigmatic curiosity? ;)
I agree with you on that one.........it drives me crazy!
He also has a paper on his fridge that looks like it says EWR on episode after episode. As far as I know that is the initials for Newark airport......never any mention of him flying out of there! What gives?
