Why do you watch Seinfeld?

I have read most of the posts here,and I am fascinated by these flame wars.I am new here and I don't know any of the people involved.So I am neutral.I have been flamed a couple of times and I don't care for it myself.I see some people do enjoy it,not that there's anything wrong with that.I do not know what has been discussed here,so just about anything I say will likely be criticized.I just want to say that I am not into flaming.I will ty to be nice and respectful, and I hope to recieve the same kindness.If anyone wants to nail me, that's cool.I can take it,but I won't respond to it.So here goes,

Why do you watch Seinfeld? I watch it for alot of reasons,mostly because it is funny. Also, when I am talking to my close friends and family,we really do talk about all the little piddly things of everyday life.So I really identify with the characters that way.I think we all do.Don't we all have a type of "code" when speaking to those closest to us? Words and phrases that only your little group understands? Another reason is that there is a little Jerry,Kamer,Elaine,and George in all of us.The biggest reason I watch it is because it is damn funny.I love every episode and will laugh at the same things again and again.It is so well written and perfectly timed.The actors really are their characters (especially Jerry) for that half hour of gold we got each week.I watch very few shows on t.v. and Thursday night was a religion in my home.I think that could be said of everyone here at this n.g. Would anyone else like to share why they watch Seinfeld?

Alot of folks mess that up. (Sorry.)

The reason to watch a "situation comedy" is because the "situation" part appeals to you in some way. If you're not interested in the premise of the show, the humor will fall flat, regardless of how funny it's perceived to be by others.

In a nutshell, that's why I watch "Seinfeld" and don't watch, oh, howbout "Malcolm and Eddie".

Also, because it's the only sitcom on TV that doesn't treat me like a nine-year-old.

Mike!! You're gonna scare her away! Jessi, if you haven't seen the episode with Lt. Bookman, the library cop, then don't be offended by Mike's words. And if you have seen it, then you should not have a better understanding of how things work in here.
