what's the significance of cartwright? was there any reason that the chinese man called george that name in particular?

A similar experience actually happened to me. My wife, my in-laws and myself took a vacation to Los Angeles a few years ago. On Saturday night we all decided to take a walk through "beautiful downtown Burbank" and find a place to eat dinner. We stopped at several restaurants, all of which had waits of nearly two hours.

We were gettng very hungry, particulary since our bodies were still on East Coast time. Well, we found a restaurant called Fuddruckers. We went inside and since it was cafeteria style, we ordered right away. The procedure is that you leave your name with your order and then they call you when it is ready. Well, my mother-in-law's name is Marsha and she put our orders in.

We took a table and engaged in conversation while listening out for him to call "Marsha". We heard several names, among them the name Parker. After about a 25 minute wait, I went up to the counter and asked if "Marsha's" order was ready yet. I was told by the clerk that it wasn't. As I was walking back to the table, the clerk yelled out "Parker, Parker, third call for Parker". I looked at the food on the counter and it looked just like the four meals we ordered. So, I said to the clerk -- "Are you sure that order is for someone named Parker?". Of course, she said yes -- Parker. Then I asked if there was an order for Marsha. "No", she said "no order for Marsha".

It took five more minutes to explain to her that the order was Marsha, not Parker. Finally, she said to me "Well, are you Parker or aren't you?" So, I replied "Yes, I am Parker -- Marsha Parker." She gave me the order, even though I am a man named Marsha Parker?

When I brought the food to the table (it was cold by then) my wife looked at the ticket and said "Who is Parker?". Remebering that episode, I said (ala George) "I am Parker"

It was a true Seinfeld moment
