UHF

Dont ask me why, but I was just thinking that Kramer should do a kids show if Seinfeld folds...then I remembered Wierd Al's UHF....wasn't Richards that janitor who ended up doing the extrememly popular kids show.... "OK Jimmy...you get THE FIREHOSE!"...(or some such) I could be wrong...its been a loooong time since I watched that movie.....but I'm pretty sure it was him.....you people MUST know for sure...

	I once thought that movie was funny.  I rented it about a month
ago based on my memories of when it first came out.  Wow was I wrong.
Michael Richards was about the good thing in that movie.  Stanley
Spadowski was basically a test run of the Kramer character it seems like.
Instead of a doofus hipster, Richards played a border line mentally
handicapped janitor.  Many of his mannerisms and motions were the same.
He was still pretty funny though.

I also have watched it recently, and it was just as funny as the first time. There's no arguing that Richards stole the movie (him and his mop) and it is _very_ Kramer. This is the first exposure I can be sure I've had to Richards, and I remembered him when I first saw Seinfeld (Oh holy day) from the movie. Anyway, I don't think he's the only funny thing in the movie, only the funniest. For anyone who hasn't seen it and has a "different" sense of humour, I would recommend it. It's sort of a Pee- Wee's big adventure type movie, but not that funny (except for Richards).

Wasn't Michael Richards in 'Transylvania 6-5000' as well? It's been years since I've seen that movie, but I'm getting a sense he was a butler or something.

Well Steve, you are correct. Kramer, as we know him, WAS the janitor in UHF. I'm sure someone else has by this time already answered your question, but this damn newsreader is obviously faulty, because i still havn't rec'd your last posting, or all the postings re: last week's episode. Actually, I was just talking to someone the other day about UHF (I never did see it) and they were describing Kramer's role in it. It sounds hilarious, I'll have to rent it sometime. It was really weird-I was just cruising along reading the postings and I came along to the last one (on my list anyway) and I wasn't paying attention to the address so I didn't even know it was you until I read your (painfully short!) messege at the bottom. Got to go (psych test in a couple mins.) so post me back (why don't you mail me-does it cost?) By the way if you go through the newsgroups and come across postings that have my address on them-they're not mine-I was letting a friend fool around on my VAX account. Very ironic in fact since he turns out to be a big Alt. Christian music fan!!!! ha ha ha..... and he posted all these things about how he loves such and such a group. Oh well... Hey I ran across this guy who loves TMBG so I mailed him, suggesting there be a TMBG newsgroup and he said there already was. alt.music.tmbg if you want- since I can't get it on this @#$%&^$# newsreader. Anyway, call me 2nite- I'm in a crappy mood (ie:depressed) My sincerest apologies to the newsgroup, hope this goes thru even though its way off topic. Don't sell yourself short saying UHF isn't funny! I've got the soundtrack and Gandi II and the Spatual City tracks are great.
