Did today's episode (The Millennium) suck, or what?! Hmm...

I'd be a little more charitable than "suck," but not much more. The George bit, trying to get himself fired was terrific, and the position on the speed dialer bit was okay. Elaine's battle with the Peruvian store wasn't funny, but the Millenium party was not funny after the first scene. Besides, Jerry was wrong at the end. He said to Newman that his party would be one year late, but actually, on Dec. 31, 1999, it would be one year early. The next Millenium starts Jan. 1, 2001.

If anyone had any doubts about Julia Louis-Dreyfus being pregnant, it was obvious last night. Jeff Laderman

 Did I miss something? I thought Jerry pointed out to Newman that he had actually booked the hotel for Dec 31,2000, then pointed out that would be one year too late for a Dec 31,1999 party, which Newman was planning for.

Newman booked his party for "The Millenium New Year", which would be 12/31/00. Most people are planning the big parties for 12/31/99; hence, Newman would be a year late. Jerry was right in what he said.

Don't rule out those of us who are NOT ignorant; we just grab the opportunity when we see it, and fully intend to celebrate wildly on BOTH 12/31/99 (Odometer Turning Over Party) and 12/31/00 (New Millenium Party).

Ummm... NO. Go back and watch it again like I do. You'll appreciate it all the more. How can you not like some of the lines in this episode? They were some of the best ever...

It is a funny line but did not ring true for something Kramer would say - he is weird but not stupid. Sharon Ahearn "And haply of our old acquaintance tell."

I agree. Kramer's humor often derives from the jaded way he understands the world. He knows everything about the Miss America Pageant, but he thinks he'll make a fortune selling the "Bro" (Mansierre). The audience never knows the bounds of his expertise, or the depths of his stupidity.

There's no way of knowing for sure, but it's very likely that he did mean "quone", and he just thought that it was a word.

Interestingly enough, I don't think he meant 'clone'. I think he was referring to some mythical medical procedure that only exists in his mind.

I doubt that very much. That Scrabble scene has been used in quite a few TV shows. I remember it was used in an episode of Family Ties. Steven and Jennifer were playing and he kept trying to pass off made up words as legitimate words even though they weren't in the dictionary.
