While I think that the show would not be as good if any character where to leave, I feel that George makes the best "sidekick" since he and Jerry have the best dialogue. While Kramer is the funniest character, his contribution is not as much of a "sidekick" as George. But, again I think the show would suffer imensly with the loss of any character.
