The whole deal with Jerry and George cooking up the ultimate scheme to make "the switch" -- it all had the air of some old Bogart movie or something. Anybody know if there was a specific movie it was following?

I would also love to know what movie they were referencing. It seemed so familiar to me and I don't watch old movies so I think it could be out of a recent one. Maybe The Grifters or David Mamet's House of Games?
Also, the music playing during 'the switch' planning seemed very familiar. It made me think of House of Games.
Does anyone have ANY ideas? This is really bugging me -- I must know!
I thought it was the whole genre of the "heist" film. It reminded me a bit of those old Alec Guiness comedy/robbery films. But I could be wrong.
