After a long time spent house-hunting in the Hamptons with no success,
Jerry has decided he'll seek a winter place back in the Los Angeles area
instead...and make his upper West side co-op his only New York home.
He told New York reporters that Manhattan's always going to be his primary
home, but he missed occasional basking in the Southern California sun a little
more than he expected...so he'll look for, and purchase, a home in close
proximity to Hollywood. This is NOT to be interpreted, by the way, as a prelude
to restarting the series, as much as we, and NBC, would like that to be so. And
he still makes it clear he will NOT produce or star in another sitcom with a
different concept either. But you're entitled to wonder if he might be getting
ready to do a few more film and TV projects with the West Coast production
houses...on that more general question, he hasn't said anything, so anything's
possible....
By the way, it was nice to see him back on networkTV at the opening of the
Mad About You finale, even if just for a few seconds...who knows, maybe he'll
do some sort of live or live-to-tape comedy/variety/talk show on a regular
