Is this his first name, or last? If it is his last, what's his first? Just curious. Thanx.

That doesn't proove anything....It was just the girl who said the wrong name!

This situation has been discussed before. One post brought up the point that Jerry was asked in an interview sometime after the airing of the showq where "Norman" was yelled by Susan the farmer's daughter. Jerry apparently said that YES IT WAS A MISTAKE. The girl was supposed to say NEWMAN but said Norman instead. According to the post Jerry and the other writers decided to leave in the mistake to play with people's minds. I asked for the date and text of the interview but ti newver materialized.

Wrong. Newman's religion was never revealed on the show, so there's no way of knowing if he even had a 'christian' name or not.

Actually, it was only Newman who found refuge in the farmhouse, and the farmer and his daughter didn't seem insane or deranged to me. In fact, I'd say the farmer was as level headed as anyone who ever appeared on the show. At least until he caught Newman fooling around with his daughter, who wasn't the least bit deranged either. Rather, I'd say she was just horny.

Of course it was. Throughout the dinner scene, Newman couldn't keep his mind off of the daughter. Why else would he have mentioned how he works out and uses Nautilus?

Yes she did, but Jerry Seinfeld himself has stated that the script read "Newman", but the actress flubbed the line and they kept it in because it made the scene even funnier; They appreciated the irony of the daughter getting Newman's name wrong, even as she was telling him how she'd never forget him.

It's his last name. In the episode "The Scofflaw" (where Kramer convinces Newman to own up to all the parking tickets he has acquired over the years), the judge refers to him as "Mr. Newman". I don't know his first name.

It's his only name. Ever seen his business card?
