Syndication

I am trying to tape almost all of the seinfeld episodes, and i was wondering: why are the episodes not aired in order? I have like 7 tapes, but they are all mixed up. does anyone know?

Because if you knew what episodes were coming and when, you would choose to watch and not to watch depending on the episode ...and therefor the station would not be able to sell the air time to commercials for hundresds of thousands of dollars per episode. (i.e. the soup natzi commercial time would be high $$ while The Pony Remark episode would not command as much $$) The way they do it now the air time is the same for all shows because you really don't know too far in advance what episode is playing when.

I have well over 100 episodes and it takes time but eventually they will play them all.

And for putting them on tape...They will put them on tape when they are not getting good sales and ratings from the shows in re-run mode. But as long as there are really high ratings on the re-runs...there will be no tapes or DVD of the shows. (at least for Seinfeld)

That's sydication for you.. they do it differently than first runs .

We have every episode on tape, and I can tell you be prepared to add about 5 more tapes. We taped on the SLP speed and still took up 12 tapes. but we watch them all the time.. its nice to pick and choose especially now that the NJ Devils are in the Hockey playoffs, we just played the David Putty episode (when he's a face painter) for our friends, it was a riot!)
