Yes! As they were chasing him down the street in MM, the people (Jews in the diamond district) were shouting "The White Angel" (the name of a brutal doctor in a concentration camp.

It was without a doubt Marathon Man. The scene:
Laurence Olivier plays a Josef Mengele-type concentration camp doctor (named Zell) who is searching for diamonds his brother stored for him in a safe deposit box in Manhattan (Larry was cooling his heels in Brazil or some such place since the war). After coming out of a jeweler's after almost being recognized by a former prisoner in the same camp, he is spotted on the street by an old woman who recognizes him and blows his cover. She yells at him from across the street, "I know you! Zell! Der Weissangel! Somebody stop him!" In trying to run away, the first former prisoner then recognizes him, tries to stop him, whereupon Sir Larry cuts his throat (no, he wasn't carrying a hi-fi). The woman in the show Thursday was a dead ringer for the woman in the movie, right down to the voice.

Indeed it was "Marathon Man", and Olivier played Christian Zell, a former dentist/Auchwitz(sp?) torturer who took diamonds and gold from Jews teeth. He was hiding out in Uruguay, while his brother watched over the diamonds in a safety deposit box in Manhattan. When the brother got into a car accident and died...Olivier had to come out of hiding and get his diamonds because he was the only other person with a key to the box...In the scene reproduced in Seinfeld, Olivier was in the Jewish district of Manhattan trying to get an idea on how much his diamonds were worth in todays market when an old woman recognized him and followed him down the street shouting at him. Also, a jeweler recognized him and confronted him on the sidewalk...big mistake...Olivier sliced his throat at the same time the old woman was hit by a car.

Did anyone else pickup the reference to the movie, Marathon Man? It was the episode where there was a bus full of German tourists, and Kramer suggested to George that they pretend like Kramer is mugging him -- so that the tourists, on their first trip to NYC will think they saw a real mugging. In the ending scene, Kramer is walking down the street, and an old German lady is following him saying, Stop him ! Stop him! That's what happened in Marathon Man to the Nazi war criminal/dentist Dr. Zell, played by Sir Laurence Olivier.
