Could somebody please explain to me how George knew the details of how [Jon Lovitz's character] found out from the doctors that he did not have cancer (i.e. First they told him he had it and then the test results came back and they later informed him that he did not actually have it.) When the previous scene had [Jon Lovitz's character] only say to George, "I didn't really have cancer, gotta run, bye." Or something to that effect.
The reason I ask is because of George's detailed description to Jerry, of a situation it appears he knew nothing about, in the very next scene. Any possible explanations and/or clarifications would be greatly appreciated.
