Couple of things:

First, I think we're pushing it a little with some of these. When George recounts the marine biologist story ("The sea was angry..."), that's really not a flashback, because he's just telling a story. Same with "...hamburger was eating me!" We may want to look at some of these again.

Second, I posted earlier, but no one responded...wasn't there a flashback when Jerry invented the umbrella swirl?

Well, if it's just references to dreams, surely something can be added about Mr. Marbles ("things are creaking and crawling...") in The Chicken Roaster.

As for what to call it, it's not even a visual aid, because if I recall correctly (and I may not), we don't even see a second of it. We see him going to the whale (in the actual time) and then we see him at the diner telling the story.
