Has anybody else given this WB sitcom a shot? It stars ex-Seinfeld writer Carol Leifer and gets some favorable comparisons to 'Seinfeld' itself.
I'm not a spammer. I'm just wondering if anybody else has given it a shot; I think it could fly on a real network.
And I think Stacey Galina (Jessica) is pretty damn cute, too.

In one of the episodes Carol dated a guy portrayed by the sam actor who played Dr. Tim Whatley on Seinfeld.

This show is definetly the best thing on the WB, though that's not saying much. Carol Leifer has written a great deal of the dialog, and it can sparkle, at times. The premises are very close to Seinfeld, the older Seinfelds anyway. It has been well received by the TV critics, Tom Shales of the Washington Post, has been a big supporter.
The major problem with the show is Carol Leifer, the performer. Her voice is ,well, distracting. She's got good timing, but the lines can be obscured by her nasel, shill delivery. Still the other actors, especially Amy Yasbeck, and Carol's writing make it worth a look-see.
You know, folks on this newsgroup bemoan the lost of Larry David to the Seinfeld show. But Carol Leifer's has also been missed. She really gave her shadow-sake character, Elaine, some of the best stories and memorable lines.
I dont know if anyone here watches this..but it stars Carol Leifer ( who writes/wrote for Seinfeld ) who is the basis of the Elaine charactor..anyway,,in a fit of anger she or her co star I think, Amy Yasback ( from wings ) says "Ok,,its Go Time".. and later "You Want a Piece of Me!?!?!".... just found it interesting...
I've seen "Alright Already" 2 or 3 times, and admire Carol Leifer's work. It's no Seinfeld, but she does a nice job. I posted one previous time about the show and the responses were very critical ,saying it's lousy, etc. I think Stacy Galina is terrific, too, and as a male who's not homosexual (not that there's anything wrong with it), I could watch Amy Yasbeck read the phone book and still tune in and I'd be pleased. I wish more people would give it a try - I think the fact that it runs against "X-Files" has hurt a lot.
