I'm back... I finally got the uploading problem sorted out (turned out my RZ command was a clone of the SZ command and was useless).
Anyway, I can now post the UUEncodes of the Seinfeld samples I've made. Several questions remain, however:
- Should I post them in the newsgroup? I realize that not everyone will want them, and that this is not a binary group.
- What sample format would be best to post them in? I would like to just leave them as Amiga IFF samples, as this would be much less complicated and time consuming. There must be sample player for other platforms that will play Amiga IFF samples, or at the very least there must be sample converters available. I use an Amiga port of SOX (The SOund eXchange) that I believe is available on many platforms (UNIX at the very least)
- Can a person upload to an anonymous FTP site? If I could figure out how to do this, I could just do that instead, of course that would leave out people who don't have FTP... (yes, I am a newbie)
So, there you have it. If anyone wants a sample of what the samples are like, I could post or email a small uuencoded one. They're of good quality, (IMO).
